Girl, 11, recovering from shark bite at Ponce Inlet, Florida!

An 11-year-old Port Orange girl is recovering from a shark bite that occurred Sunday in Ponce Inlet. Riley Breihan was standing in knee-deep water when she felt the shark bite her. She said the bites on her leg and heel didn’t require stitches, but doctors had to numb her to remove a baby shark tooth — which she got to keep!

18-year woman killed by shark off a Brazilian beach

A tourist died on Monday after being attacked by a shark off a beach in north-eastern Brazil. Bruna Gobbi was rushed to the Restauracao hospital but died of her wounds. A state shark monitoring committee said Silva was the first woman to die from a shark bite in Pernambuco state since the area began keeping records of such incidents in 1992.
